september is suicide prevention month

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, a period dedicated to honoring those who have lost their lives to suicide, recognizing the countless individuals who have grappled with suicidal thoughts, and acknowledging the wide-reaching effects on families, communities, and beyond. It’s also an opportunity to enhance awareness about suicide prevention and spread messages of hope.

Throughout September and the entire year, we can focus on suicide prevention by connecting with our communities, embracing cultural and research insights, and working together to tackle this significant public health issue that affects millions of Americans.

Our community has many events planned to bring awareness to suicide prevention. Click here to check out some of the events our coalition plans to attend this September.
